The price depends on the level of required services as well on the season of the year at some hotels. There are several first-class hotels in the centre of the city, but probably the best known and also the most expensive is Amber Hotel Cernigov – the price of the apartment there is never lower than 1500 CZK (50 €), but the finest apartment could be about 5000 CZK (170 €). The hotel claims to be well worth the money – it offers wide selection of high-quality services. It can be found at Riegrovo square 1494, the very square where the bus and train station is located.Next 3-starred is the Hotel Stadion in the Komenského street 1214, the hotel located on the premises of city’s ice-stadium. It can provide up to 75 rooms with price between 700 and 1200 CZK (25 – 40 €). „Small and sweet“ could be the motto of the boardinghouse Penzion u České Koruny, which can supply 15 rooms that cost about 1500 – 2000 CZK (50 – 65 €). It is situated in the Tomkova street 180. Very comfortable should be the Hotel U Kralovny Elisky, it has four stars of quality. However, the prices move between 80 and 130 € (2300 – 3900 CZK). It is possible to pay with various currencies there, the hotel is part of EuroAgentur corporation. Very prestigious is Hotel Alessandria, the hotel that was promoted to international hotel for delegations from abroad in the communist era, nowadays the hotel is just a few years after recostruction, loosing none of its lustre. Hostels

If you are looking for very cheap hostel, you should probably visit the hostel Academic in the Heyrovského Street 1177. There may be not enough comfort, because you have to share your bathroom with someone from next-door, but the price is 230 CZK (8 €). Hostel Kolej na Kotli for 390 CZK (14 €), two-bed room for 500 CZK (18 €). If the price is still too high for you, you should probably go camping in the woods. Unlike in most of Western Europe, it is not illegal in the Czech Republic.
