There are other various types of ticket limited for a specific number of days, that can be bought in the ticket machines on some bus or trolley bus stations.
Some restaurants have a specific meal for each day, so called menu, that is cheaper than all the other meals.
In the Czech Republic, a glass of beer is always cheaper than any kind of soda, maybe except for Kofola, a Czech fizzy drink similar to coke. It tastes like liqourice, is less sweet than coke and unlike coke does not contain Phosphoric Acid (H3PO4).
In classy restaurants the staff speak English, in ordinary pubs on the perifery, where the meals are cheaper, the language knowledge is negligible , so prepare to gesture and mime.
Discount for ISIC (International student identification card) can be used in various places of interest, e.g. in the Observatory and Planetarium (25% of the price), Gallery of Modern Art (50%), Klicpera Theatre (30%), but also at McDonald’s, KFC (special student meal), Cinestar Cinema (lower price on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and some other restaurants and shops in the city. In the music festival Rock for People, the discount for ISIC-holders is 100 CZK (3.5 €).
