Aquacenter
Very popular destiantion for the tourists not only in the summer days could be the indoor pool with artificial waves, water gargoyles, spiral slide with light show, pool for children with an artificial creek, underwater massage, sauna, solarium, fitness center, cosmetics, etc. It can be found in the Eliscino nabrezi Street 842, on the premises of the City’s Baths, next to the city’s 50-meter swimming pool. Opening hours: Mon – Fri: 10 AM – 9 PM, Sat-Sun 10 AM – 8 PM.
Steam Ship Trip
You can make a little ride along the riverbanks, about 50 minutes, in a small steam ship, at the docks at Smetanovo nabrezi St., or rent a small boat for 50 CZK (1.7 €) in the same place. Available: May-Oct, Mon-Fri: 3 PM – 8 PM; Sat-Sun: 10 AM – 8 PM.
Observatory and Planetarium
The inspection can teach you interesting information about the Solar System, sunspots, prominences, information about the solar activity, projection of the Sun (in case of clear weather), computer animations, etc. It also offers instructive programs for children, demonstration of the telescopes, exhibition of paper models of spacecrafts, shuttles and sattelites. It is located on the south of the city, in the Zamecek Street 456/30. Built as a high building in the middle of the Elbe lowland, it provides a wonderful view on the East-Bohemian nature, with the lakes and meadows in the nearbyand the mountains on the horizon. Giant Aquarium
The fresh-water aquarium with artificial rainforest and an underwater tunnel that leads you to the world of tropical nature is located in Baarova St. 10/1663. Opening hours: daily except Mon (during school holiday every day) 9 AM – 6 PM. You will also find there sport facilities with a ricochet court, sauna and fitness center.
