Beware of the thieves, especially in the public transport.
Most small shops are open from 9 AM to 5 PM, some fashion-clothing houses from 8 AM to 8 PM, supermarkets 8 AM – 10 PM, or sometimes nonstop.
The beer-pubs and bars have closing time at midnight, but could be longer if there are enough customers to serve.
There is a student tradition in the Czech Republic of walking around the city in masks and funny-looking comstumes and begging for money for the graduation party. This takes place every year in May or at the start of June, on Friday before the week of high school graduation exams. Giving them a coin is considered to be nice, but walking off isn’t considered to be indecent.
The pubs are usually closed on Mondays, and the museums as well.
